Thommanon

Thommanon is a large sandstone temple structure that stands just outside the Northern end of the East wall of Angkor Thom. It was constructed in the late 11th to the early 12th century under the reign of king Suryavarman II in classic Angkor Wat/Khmer style, and served as
a Hindu temple. The building is a single towered temple with a central plaza, crowned by a central prasat, or tower. The temple's carvings are well preserved and provides great photo opportunities with the contrasting sandstone brick to the surrounding jungle. You could spend up to 30 minutes here and is usually paired with a visit to Chao Say Tevoda.
